Located along Sleepy Hollow Road near Sleepy Hollow and West Dundee, Schweitzer Woods Forest Preserve offers a quiet, natural setting filled with open prairie, mature trees, wooded paths, and soft seasonal greenery. Its combination of wide grassy areas and secluded wooded backgrounds creates a relaxed portrait location that works especially well for seniors, families, maternity sessions, and couples.
Unlike more manicured locations, Schweitzer Woods has a simple, organic feel that keeps the focus on the people being photographed. The preserve includes woodland, grassland, wetlands, and approximately 1.5 miles of trails, giving us several different backgrounds without having to travel between locations.

Things to Know
Schweitzer Woods is an approved off-leash dog area, so dogs may occasionally be present near the trails and open spaces. This is important to consider for young children, anyone who is uncomfortable around dogs, or clients planning to bring their own pets.
