Things to Know
Mayslake Forest Preserve includes approximately 90 acres of prairie, wetlands, lakes, ponds, savanna, and natural areas. A one-mile trail winds around the lakes and connects different parts of the preserve.
There may be some walking between portrait areas, so comfortable shoes are helpful. Families with very young children may want to bring a stroller or wagon that can travel over grass and natural pathways.
