Things to Know
Deer Grove East includes both paved and unpaved trails, and reaching some of the best portrait areas may require a little walking. Families with babies or small children may want to bring a stroller or wagon.
The preserve has a large parking area and indoor bathrooms near the main entrance. Because it is also popular with walkers, bicyclists, picnickers, and other visitors, weekday sessions generally provide a quieter photography experience.
